Looking for well-crafted content written by a pro? I’m your girl.
An award-winning medical and healthcare writer
What’s a go to girl, anyway?
I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised to experience working with an independent contractor who “gets it.” My extensive background in healthcare communications is an asset to busy clients who but don’t have time for onboarding or explaining industry nuances.
I help organizations of every size with content-related projects both large and small, on timelines ranging anywhere from a few days to several months. I’ve even helped several clients win awards with my work. Current clients range from large academic medical centers, healthcare systems, public health organizations, and health tech companies.

Shameless self promotion
Experience
I stepped out (at the time, it felt like a leap) on my own and created Go to Girl Communications in 2015, after 14 years of steady advancement at two nationally-regarded nonprofit academic organizations. I spent the first nine years of my career at Vanderbilt University (including editor roles for publications for the medical center and children’s hospital). Then, my family moved across the country so I could serve as communications manager at Children’s Hospital Colorado, a role I held for five years.
Starting before I graduated college way back in 2000, I’ve been freelance writing for a variety of online and print publications, including local alt-newsweeklies, business newspapers and magazines, trade publications — and even a few big names. Nothing will top seeing my words appear in Rolling Stone. (It was an advertorial, but it still counts!)
